NEP® (N-Ethyl-2-Pyrrolidone)


• Low-temperature reaction solvent for temperature sensitive pharmaceutical active ingredients.
• Circuit board/defluxing/stencil cleaners - used as a co-solvent, usually in combination with other water-soluble solvents such as glycol ethers or tetrahydrofurfuryl alcohol and surfactants for removal of flux residues, oils and greases. Used as an alternative for N-methyl-2-pyrrolidone.

This ingredient is use in formulating:

    Jaypol™ AT 4

    Jaypol® AT4 works in two ways: on neutralization the polymer uncoils and instantly builds rheology; secondly the hydrophobically modified molecules build a network with hydrophobic ingredients such as surfactants, inorganic compounds and microcapsules to further increase viscosity. As a result, Jaypol® AT4 is especially effective at higher pH values and supports thickening in alkali formulations.

    • Shear thinning
    • Highly associative character
    • Suitable for use in high pH formulations (optimum range
    • of 7.5 to 10 for many alkalis and 7.5 to 12.5 for sodium

    • Resistant to bacteria and enzymes
    • Excellent compatibility with non-ionic and anionic surfactants
    • Good salt tolerance (up to 1% w/w NaCl)

    Tomamine® Amphoteric N Surfactant

    Tomamine Amphoteric N surfactant is a modified dipropionate amphoteric surfactant with exceptionally high foaming properties in the presence of many other surfactants and components typically used in shampoos and personal care products.

    Tomamine Amphoteric N Surfactant  is use in formulating:

      Tomamine® AO-728 Surfactant

      Tomamine AO-728 surfactant is a high foaming 50% active amine oxide. It is an economical replacement for lauryl dimethyl amine oxide and many alkanolamides. It is a very effective foam booster and stabilizer in liquid detergent formulations. Tomamine AO-728 surfactant is manufactured from an ethoxylated tertiary amine. These amine oxides are generally considered to be milder to skin and eyes than amine oxides manufactured from methyl tertiary amines.

      Tomamine AO-728 is also a viscosity modifier.
